Baylor Bears

Head coach Scott Drew developed some quality perimeter players this past season, led by Jared Butler and MaCio Teague. Each is still in the NBA Draft process but would be All-Big 12 players if they came back for another season. There’s also another transfer guard ready to go in Adam Flagler along with four-star point guard LJ Cryer for this upcoming campaign.

Baylor is looking to capitalize on their historically good season but landing a couple of top-tier prospects. There may be more of a need to find frontcourt assets with Mark Vital and Tristan Clark set to graduate in a year but if five-star caliber perimeter players are available, this program has to make an effort to land them.

Illinois Illini

Losing star point guard Ayo Dosunmu (all but certain to remain in the NBA Draft) is a big blow for the team but an under the radar loss is also Andres Feliz, who averaged 11.0 ppg and 2.9 apg at the two-guard spot. The Illini already has a quality incoming shooting guard in the 2020 class in Adam Miller, as well as 6’6 Holy Cross transfer guard Jacob Grandison coming off a redshirt year.

Illinois has other 2021 options such as Kendall Brown, Max Christie and already has a commitment from top-100 shooter Luke Goode. Coach Brad Underwood has been targeting a number of Texas prospects thanks to his recruiting ties and has been looking to expand the program’s pipeline outside of the greater Chicago area. If willing to leave the state, the Illini could be an option.
