Possible NCAA Basketball option for Reggie Chaney – Georgia Bulldogs

The Bulldogs have filled up their roster well for next season via the transfer portal, landing Justin Kier (George Mason), Andrew Garcia (Stony Brook), and PJ Horne (Virginia Tech). All of them are graduates and eligible to play for next season but there’s still a scholarship left to use for someone who can sit-out.

It would be an inter-conference transfer situation but Chaney is already familiar with the SEC, and playing the Razorbacks would be a nice bit of revenge. The Bulldogs are looking to rebuild their frontcourt themselves and rather than settle for a likey three-star commit in the 2021 class, they have a veteran sit and wait while having plenty of playing time available.

Possible NCAA Basketball option for Reggie Chaney – Houston Cougars

After missing out on Delaware grad transfer Justyn Mutts, the Cougars are still looking for frontcourt depth to make up for Nate Hinton’s departure and Fabian White Jr.’s season-ending offseason injury. Unfortunately, Mutts was the top eligible forward on the market at the moment.

Kiyron Powell is a three-star center that’ll provide some size but it looks as if Houston will be going small. Chaney would be an interesting pickup for the program and would add needed size and rebounding for the 2021-22 season. And who knows, maybe he could get a waiver if Chaney says he was “ran off” after Smith coming in?
