The Vols recruiting success as of late cannot be swept aside, as Rick Barnes has been landing top players over the last several cycles. Currently, with productive big John Fulkerson on the roster, Barnes is looking to find his next frontcourt star to build around.

Tennessee does not have a proven go-to option in the program, once Fulkerson and versatile forward Yves Pons move on, but Huntley-Hatfield certainly has the talent and production to carry the team and fill those shoes.

Tennessee has really focused in on landing the 6’9 forward and doesn’t want to let him slip into a rival’s hands as an original in-state recruit. The Vols are looking to pair him with fellow 5-star Tennessee wing Brandon Miller and 5-star guards Jaden Bradley or Scoota Henderson.

The potential for the program to completely reload and put together a monster class is readily apparent. However, it seems Huntley-Hatfield is higher on a pair of SEC-rivals as things stand now.
