South Carolina Gamecocks

The Gamecocks have been struggling for the past few years but could be on the right track for next season, bringing back their top three scorers, who are all juniors. Guards AJ Lawson and Keyshawn Bryant are All-SEC caliber players and the team has plenty of perimeter talent.

The issue is in the frontcourt, as South Carolina has little depth and scoring production inside outside of Wildens Leveque. Brooks would be an upgrade over him at the center position and he would provide desperate balance on both ends to finally get the Gamecocks back into contention for the Big Dance.

Syracuse Orange

With it being official that starting center Marek Dolezaj is gone, the center position is wide open for the Orange to find a need. They have a couple of internal options but expect a lot of interest in the program looking for a proven center. Syracuse did land Villanova wing/forward transfer Cole Swider a week ago but now needs an offensive presence inside.

It may take a little while to adjust for Brooks playing in a 2-3 zone but he’s a solid overall defender and his scoring ability inside would make things much easier for Joe Girard and Buddy Boeheim to operate and shoot from outside.
