Florida Gators

The hope for all NCAA Basketball fans is that star forward Keyontae Johnson will be cleared to play next season for the Gators. The health of the double-digit scoring wing will ultimately determine the team’s NCAA Tournament fate. But it’s fair to point out that the staff can’t rely on him for longer than next season, especially if he’s good to go, excels on the court, and goes pro.

With incoming freshman Kowacie Reeves, Jr., Florida has a good wing option for the future. But Whitmore is an offensive upgrade and on a team that doesn’t have a prolific scorer, this recruit would be a great future piece to have. And he’d get plenty of immediate playing time.

Georgetown Hoyas

One of the two local options among the 10, the Hoyas are hoping to land a prospect from the DMV area after missing out on a few already in this class. And Whitmore would absolutely get playing time as a freshman and likely start, as this program currently doesn’t have a true wing on the roster.

Georgetown has a lot of young guards on the roster, including five-star freshman Aminu Mohammed. He and Whitmore would be a lethal perimeter scoring duo and would be a foundation for the program build on for another quality recruiting class.
