NBA Draft 2021: 10 players most likely to succeed from 2021 class
8. Moses Moody – Arkansas
The 6-foot-6 guard shot 42.7 percent from the field and 35.8 percent three-point-range for the Arkansas Razorbacks last season. He averaged 17.4 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Moses Moody is a safe bet to be one of the most consistent and productive players for years to come which is something that every team in the NBA could use.
Although he only played one season of college basketball, he is one of the most pro-ready players at just 19 years old. He can hold his own against much older opponents.
Moody makes plays on both sides of the court thanks to his seven-foot wingspan. He is an elite mid-range shooter and can make plays in transition as an excellent rebounder.
I see the San Antonio Spurs as a great fit for Moses Moody. The Spurs could really use a shooter which is exactly what they would be getting out of him. Moses Moody will do well for any team that takes a chance on him but, I think he could develop into a star quickly especially under Coach Gregg Popovich.
7. Ziaire Williams – Stanford
Ziaire Williams could be one of the steals of the draft for the team that picks him in the early to mid-first round.
The 6-foot-9 forward played for Stanford last season as a freshman. Williams was the highest-rated recruit in program history, however, last season he did not meet expectations which has significantly impacted his draft stock.
While Ziaire Williams is a great athlete with a very high ceiling, his lack of strength could display poor performance in the NBA. It will be interesting to see how he does going up against the likes of LeBron James, Giannis Antetkounmpo, and Kevin Durant.
Although Williams’ stock took a major hit, the room for him to improve at the professional level is certainly there under the right coaching. His potential to succeed in the NBA is still very high.
I do believe the rebuilding Orlando Magic would be a great fit for him. Williams is still developing as a player and adding his talent to this young roster can only help. If Williams is available when the Magic are on the clock they should take him.
