4. UNLV Rebels

The Rebels roster has decimated this offseason and a whole new cast of players are coming in to try and turn around the program for new head coach Kevin Kruger. In recent seasons, former head coach Otzelberger has been able to rely on productive wings to help carry the load on his roster. However, this did not happen in 2020 and it’s unknown if this part of the floor will see increased production in 2021.

As a result of such high roster turnover, there remains ample opportunity beyond next season for a talented recruit to come in and transform the program’s outlook. Arceneaux’s size and skills on both ends of the floor is desperately needed on this roster. Specifically, his ability to create his own shot can significantly elevate the production of the entire team.

Additionally, the Rebels are in the running for Las Vegas native and 4-star point guard Milos Uzan. Together, Uzan and Arceneaux could quickly turn the fortunes of the program around not only on the court but also on the recruiting trail. Kruger only needs 2-3 high-end recruits to swing UNLV back towards being a 20-plus win team.

3. Oklahoma Sooners

Since Porter Moser has taken over the Sooners job, he has not missed a beat. Coach Moser has been heavily recruiting top talent nationally and making strong impressions amongst them landing in numerous final lists. Oklahoma will be much younger next season, after losing a majority of their experienced starting lineup from a year ago and will hope they can develop quickly to contend again for a conference crown.

The Sooners specifically lost a lot of backcourt and perimeter production from their 2020 roster and will need to quickly replace it to compete at the highest levels. Landing several key pieces in this area, Oklahoma still does not have a strong go-to option with size as Arceneaux has.

He stands to carve out a key role in the lineup if he does indeed join the program in Norman. Arceneaux has the pedigree to become the defensive anchor and go-to scoring threat Moser would like to establish as an incoming coach at a new program.
