"“They say every day’s a gift, but why does it have to be a pair of socks?”"

This is merely more preparation for getting back into the swing of the college basketball season. If you don’t log on Twitter every morning and immediately see, “’Every day is a gift.’ – Art Loveley” from Jon Rothstein, you’re doing something wrong in life.

"“Someday soon, you’re gonna have families of your own and if you’re lucky, you’ll remember the little moments like this, that were good.”"

There’s a very clear changing of the guard happening right now in the sport. Many of the great coaches that have been fixtures in the game for decades are reaching retirement age.

Coach K, Roy Williams, Leonard Hamilton, Jim Boeheim, and Tom Izzo are just a few of the names that are at or approaching the ends of their long, decorated careers. At North Carolina, Williams already passed the torch along to Hubert Davis and rode off into the sunset. Shortly after his Tobacco Road counterpart retired, Coach K announced that this season will be his final one at Duke and named Jon Scheyer his successor.

It’s a momentous time in college basketball, and we’ll soon find out which programs will stay on top following the departures of their legendary coaches and which won’t.
