Florida State Seminoles – Forward

There’s a good amount of depth with the Seminoles overall but with Malik Osborne moving on, the power forward position in a spot where they aren’t a surefire starter yet. Former top-60 prospect John Butler Jr. has the best shot, as well as former Kentucky forward Cam’Ron Fletcher.

Brown transfer and former Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year Jaylan Gainey is a 6’8 big that can play both inside positions but he’ll probably get most minutes at center alongside Naheem McLeod. Four-star incoming freshman De’Ante Green is a prospect to watch for next season but in terms of proven production, power forward is the one area they could use some improvement at.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Any kind of frontcourt help

Losing All-ACC guard Mike Devoe would assume that Georgia Tech should focus on guard play but they have a solid stable of perimeter players, including returning guards, Kyle Sturdivant and Deivon Smith. And Gardner-Webb transfer Lance Terry (14.3 ppg) gives them another option too.

But without Jordan Usher around, the Jackets have next to nothing in terms of reliable frontcourt offense. All-Sun Belt forward Javon Franklin will have to have a giant impact out the gate, as neither Jordan Meka nor Rodney Howard will give you much inside. Unless they find another forward, it’ll remain a big weakness for them inside.
