Butler Bulldogs

The experiment with transfer big man Manny Bates didn’t work great, with the team finishing in the bottom of the Big East this past season. He’s currently in the NBA Draft process and very well could stay in. If that happens, the Bulldogs don’t have any real options currently on the roster and Jalen Thomas is more of a bench player than a starter at this level.

Shedrick would be a nice replacement for Bates. He’s needed in a frontcourt that very well could be going up against Adama Sanogo and Ryan Kalkbreener in the Big East. While Butler would still need to find a power forward to balance out the roster offensively, Shedrick would be a nice early pickup for the rebuilding roster.

Dayton Flyers

The good news for the Flyers is that they’re likely to get all of their guards back for next season after they were hurt the past few months. The key is the frontcourt, as there’s a strong chance that they could lose both DaRon Holmes and Toumani Camara.

They were two of the best interior defenders in the A-10 this past season so it’s important for Dayton to find another solid frontcourt player, in case both of them are gone. Shedrick could have a huge impact at the A-10 level, including on offense and make them contenders in the league once again.
