11. Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers had an outstanding frontcourt last season, led by All-American, Trayce Jackson-Davis. He led the team with 20.9 pp and 10.8 rpg, along with four assists a game. Two other key departures were starting forwards, Race Thompson and Miller Kopp, along with bench forwards, Jordan Geronimo and Logan Duncomb.

Who is back is Malik Reneau, a former five-star prospect. As a freshman off the bench, the 6’9 big man produced 6.1 ppg and 3.7 rpg and is expected to take a much larger role this time around. Joining him in the lineup will be Kel’el Ware, a 7’0 transfer from Oregon and former five-star recruit. He averaged 6.6 ppg and 4.1 rpg off the bench but did have a few 20-point games against top-tier competition in the PK85 Tournament.

Another five-star talent in the mix is Mackenzie Mgbako, a former Duke commit who switched over to the Hoosiers this offseason. He’s a 6’7 combo forward likely to start at the three-spot and will be one of the top athletes in the Big Ten. The team also has two more transfer newcomers in Payton Sparks and Anthony Walker, each of whom will get minutes in the rotation.

Adding sophomore wing Kaleb Banks should help in the shooting departure, a potential weakness with this group overall. But the breakout potential with the starting group of underclassmen gives Indiana a chance as a team to become real contenders in the league.
